Which is the Right Phone Number Type for Me?
We offer different types of virtual phone numbers from over 160 countries. Here's how each number type works:
- Geographic Numbers: Local numbers have area codes assigned to particular towns or cities in a country. Example: 020-4xxx-xxxx, where 204 is the London area code. Calls made to these numbers are charged local calling rates.
- International Toll-Free Numbers: Toll-free numbers are free to dial for callers within the associated country. You can get toll-free numbers for different countries around the world. Example: 800 numbers for the US, 900 numbers for Spain, or 0808 numbers for the UK.
- Local 2-Way Numbers: These are local phone numbers that let users receive inbound calls and make outbound calls with a local phone number while displaying an in-country caller ID. In short, they are available for both inbound and outbound calling.
- National Numbers: These numbers are similar to local numbers, except they are accessible nationwide. They are usually reachable from anywhere in the world.
- Mobile Numbers: Mobile numbers are like cell phone numbers. They’re reachable from anywhere in the world. However, they cannot be used for verification or social media purposes.
